A concept on the purpose
of this world
So what does the future hold for all of us on earth; is Christ coming back to take us
to heaven? The Bible says He is. As for me, I believe it's true. My evidence for believing? Just think about the magnificence
of our human bodies, how we can think, smell, see, and feel emotion and on and on we could go. It only makes rational common
sense that a superior being made us.

me, I believe it's true. My evidence for believing? Just think about the magnificence of our human bodies, how we can
think, smell, see, and feel emotion and on and on we could go. It only makes rational common sense that a superior being made
us.
It surely makes sense that God made us and doesn't it also make sense that a God that can do that would have
a better place for us than this world of pain, suffering and death?
Your question should be; "Then what is the
purpose of this world?" A good question, I'm glad you asked, because that is the subject of this article.
The Bible says this world is the theater of the universe. (1 Cor.4:9) This indicates that something
happened in the past to cause others (other worlds - heavenly angels) to observe us here on earth. You, the reader, are about
to view a concept of both, what happened, and how God is going about to solve a rebellion problem within His children. Will
viewing this world, where the results of the rebellion are displayed, evil everywhere secure God's ways forever in the
universe?

After completing this article,
you be the judge; do the pieces to the puzzle (this concept) fit and make sense?
The rebellion problem started
in heaven -
Most individuals, if asked, would probably say, the thing that happened started with Adam and Eve's
disobedience in eating the forbidden fruit. But that is not where the major problem started.
The major problem started in heaven, when God's leading angel Lucifer wanted to take over as the head.
(Evil intent) Lucifer recruited one third of the angels over to his way of thinking. Of course, Lucifer thought he had a better
way to govern than God.

The major problem

(Evil intent) Lucifer recruited one third of the angels over to his way of thinking. Of course, Lucifer thought he had a better
way to govern than God.
If one of your children strayed away, how or what would you do to bring them back? Would you tell
them to 'just knock it off and straighten up?' Or, when they became of age, would you simply let
them go their own way?
God being the God he is, knew what it would take to bring His children back, so He let them pursue
their own rebellious choice. (Romans 1: 24, 26, 28) So God created earth for the purpose of having a place to allow Lucifer
to see if his ways were really better than God's ways. Lucifer, who became known as Satan then, came to earth. And of
course, the rest is history with Adam and Eve being taken in (deceived) by Satan.
In short, God has a rebellion
problem with His children, which actually started in heaven, and this world became the place for demonstrating the
consequences.
World religions seem to have the sin problem confined to this world blaming Adam and Eve for having started
the problem; but as you can see, God's problem includes the vast universe, not just this world.
Gods Management
Team - (or Gods heavenly council)
(Each one with different ideas on how
to solve the rebellion problem)
Having Lucifer designated as the lead angel (before the fall), would
seem to suggest that God has a management team in heaven. This whole concept became real to me when I experienced an actual
management team within a manufacturing company. With about 50 employees, we had 5 to 6 people serving on our management team.
When problems arose among certain employees, we would bring it to the management team where each one was able to give their
in-put, seeking solutions to the problem.
The overall intent here is to try to create an atmosphere of 'family'
where each one can feel they have a part, and are a part of the family.
Notice the rebellion
problem started in heaven among the family management team. So doesn't it make sense that our 'all
knowing' God would first work on a way to convince His leaders that His ways are best?
One of the first things I
came to understand about a large group of people (the employees) was that there are always individuals that think the
boss knows nothing about how to run the company. The boss only created the whole thing and is signing their paycheck,
but he still knows nothing.
With God's management team being no different, the challenge was about how to win them
over to seeing things His way. And as I understand it, the management team was on the fence, didn't know for sure about
God's ways until after the crucifixion of Christ.
If you have ever wondered about all the horror stories
in the Bible now is the time to pay attention. You may discover the reason why the flood destroyed the whole earth.
You may discover why it was ordered to kill everything that breathed at the battle of Jericho. You may discover why Achan
and his whole family were stoned to death. And why God said in the Old Testament, 'an eye for an eye and a tooth of a
tooth,' but in the New Testament, Jesus said "no" to this, but to turn the other cheek. And many more questionable
things as well.
Remember, I said the members on the management team were 'on the fence' in their understanding
of God's ways. Think about it; Lucifer had just convinced one third of them to defect and go with him. Lucifer must have
been a very smooth and convincing sales person. As I understand it, Lucifer was putting his best foot forward, in that he
was seemingly coming across as to be helping God out. Instead, he was performing an 'act' in that he seemed to be
very kind and loving, but actually he was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
As stated before, God has a rebellion
problem with His children that started with Lucifer, the once lead of His management team. With Lucifer being the lead, can
you imagine the ideas for 'helping God out' that came trickling down to the rest of the members on the management
team? Without a doubt, God had his work cutout for himself in getting this mess straightened out.
With the 'backroom'
(back stage) view, so to speak, understand that God is allowing his management team to make some decisions. Why?
Because they have ideas that have stemmed from Lucifer that need to be played out. God wants them and us to view the results.
What better way to secure heaven for eternity, than to reveal the results of the experiences of this world?
By
the way, have you ever been asked if you would like to live your life over? Most say, yes, I sure would! But I didn't
say a new life, I mean live out the same life all over again. I have not had one individual say yes.
It's not hard
to realize after experiencing and viewing evil all around us that we must be in Hell right here on earth. We are in Satan's
domain, with evil springing up on every side. If this isn't a view of Hell, I don't know what is. The purpose? It's
quite simple. God is simply allowing the rebellious ways of His children to play out. We are viewing the results of evil,
as opposed to God's ways; this, without a doubt, will secure heaven for eternity.
I say that because the Bible tells
us that when this world comes to an end, there will be no more pain, suffering, and death (no more sin). Some individuals
may think that God simply speaks this into action, except we need to understand that our freedom means more to God than anything
else. God will never take away our free choice. Meaning, we will always have the choice to sin, but because of what we have
went through and have witnessed on this earth, we will have the intelligence to never go there again.
Sense God is
an all-knowing God, and He has promised no more sin, I'm going to take Him at His word. And one more thing; Think about
the confidence and trust God has in us for never wanting to sin again.
So what is the purpose
of this world and all the horror stories within the Bible, but to reveal evil and it's result. We must believe that God
knows how to change our mind where it really is our choice outside of force and coercion, to want God's ways to become
our ways.
Within a quick panoramic view of the start of this world and all the horror stories from Adam and Eve, onward,
notice that all the might, power and force upon God's children would not make them into people that could be trusted.
Left alone, they turned to evil continually. (Gen. 6: 5)
Repeat - God has a rebellion problem, so what is he doing to
solve the problem?
Story of Noah and the Flood
With evil running rampant upon the earth, God
allows the management team their in-put. "So what do you think we need to do," God asked?
(Likened to my management team at the factory, one said, "I think we should fire them.") On Gods management team,
one might have said, "I think you should destroy them, there is no good in them." So God seems to agree and says,
"Yes, it grieves me that I ever made them, I will wipe them out." Gen. 6: 5-7 - The flood
Keep in mind that
God is an all-knowing God, He knew what his children would do. God wanted them to 'get-it' on their own without His
influence, so when God said it grieved Him that he ever made humans, he was simply going along with the management team, seemingly
supporting their vote to destroy the wicked. The evidence for this? All we need to do is notice that all the might and power
to destroy the whole earth with the flood did not change what was in the minds of God's created children. It wasn't
long until survivors of the flood also returned to evil, therefore revealing that the idea from the 'management team'
would not work to solve the rebellion problem. Zechariah 4:6 - "Not by might nor by power, (not even God's might
and power) would it change them, but only by the way the Spirit works." Romans 2:4 states that only the kindness
of God will lead humankind to repentance.
God's Chosen People - "The children of Israel"
On
my management team one said, "This person is a good worker, we don’t want to loose him. I think all we need to
do is to have a heart to heart talk with him, to turn him around." When one on God's management team said that, God
choose a certain group of people to have a heart to heart talk with, referred to in the Bible as the Children of Israel.
God
gave them overwhelming evidence of His care for them by delivering them from their enemies, opening the Red Sea so they could
escape. Feeding them manna from Heaven, and providing them water from a rock. And also promising them, if they would do things
God's way, a land of milk and honey.
These people said they would obey God, just write down the laws and we will
obey them. So as God was writing the laws on two tables of stone only forty days later, they had forgotten all about God's
deliverance and care for them, and had returned to their evil ways.
Of course, the management team, with their heads
together are trying to figure out what to do that would change their minds over to wanting to do good, rather than evil. We
can see as the Bible stories go, that their solutions seemed to be focused around might and force through very severe punishment.
Destruction of Jericho
With evil running so rampant, life was cheap, the management team says,
"Maybe if we had some of the better ones kill off the more evil ones, just maybe we could get the attention of some in
acknowledging the seriousness of evil." So the order was given to go in and kill everything that breathed and to overtake
the land. (Joshua 6:21)
Achan and his family (Achan did something against the rules.)
(Achan did
something against the rules.)
Then another suggestion, "I know how to really get their attention, when another person
is caught in rebellion let us have the church people line up the whole family and have them stoned, the wife, the children
even their animals. Have the church family kill them all. That should surely get their attention and cause them to never want
to do anything wrong again. (Joshua 7)
Severe punishment for any wrong doing was the order of the day. Another one suggested,
when someone disobeys, just strike them dead on the spot in front of everyone. Then they will come to their
senses and show a little respect...
1 Sam.6:19 - 70 men of Beth Shemesh struck down for looking into the ark.
2
Sam.6:6,7 - Uzzah struck down for touching the ark.
Looking into and touching the ark was breaking the
rules.
Revival
The management team says, "We have tried everything;
Heart to heart talks, severe punishment, but it doesn’t seem to work. How about we try a different angle? How about
starting a revival among them making rule-keeping the 'in-thing' to do."
So God moved
forward with another demonstration through Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Revival was the order of the day among God's
children. If you thought all the killing was horrible, just look at what happened when these earthly beings kept the laws!
Because it was the 'in-thing' to be spiritual they put scripture to memory like no one before
them. They paid a double tithe, didn't put anything unclean into their stomachs, and kept the Sabbath to the letter of
the law and more. They would pray very long and impressive prayers to give the appearance of holiness.
Seemingly, the
people on earth were very spiritual, obeying all the rules. Now the management team could be saying, "Finally, we have
a people that have learned God's will and are willing to obey."
But God knew they had not entered into the
joy of obedience, their obedience was based on fear of punishment. They obeyed because they thought that would please and
win favor for themselves before God.
The management team might have thought, "all is well now, we tried all kinds
of things to solve the rebellion problem among God's children, but the one thing that seems to be working is the revival
among them." But God might have said, "OK, if you think all is well, and you-all have exhausted all your solutions
to the rebellion problem, let us now put them to the test to see if they are ready to be trusted for Heaven. I will go down
as a newborn baby to become one of them and live among them. I will become Heaven's ambassador to reveal the ways of God
(His government) to them, then we'll see just how 'all well' things really are.
Jesus / His death
and resurrection
Of course, most of us know the story of Jesus and how He turned their seemingly perfect behavior
upside down. Jesus revealed their overboard rule keeping as a device for making themselves appear holy and superior to others.
When Jesus didn’t go along with their so-called, rules for holiness, this caused them to hate Jesus to the point of
crucifying Him.
(Of course, there is much more to the story of the cross that is covered elsewhere)
Christ
back in heaven with the management team -
Christ back in heaven with the management team -
After
Christ's death and resurrection He ascended back to heaven, (John 20:17) Christ might have asked the management team if
they had seen enough? And the answer was probably a resounding YES, we have seen more than enough. We see that our ideas about
how to solve rebellion were built around forced obedience. This was so ingrained in our mind that the only way of ever understanding
the difference was to witness the results for ourselves. We see that you could have called ten thousand of us to your rescue,
giving us the command to destroy those in rebellion, and we would of thought it to be right.
We now see that
only kindness will lead to repentance... (Rom. 2:4) We know now that you where demonstrating to us in the Old Testament to
take and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, showing us that in doing so, it would never solve a thing. Now we see why
you said, it was said of old to take an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say unto you, NO, but to turn the other
cheek. (Deuteronomy 19:18-21 / Matthew 5:38-42)
(Rom. 2:4) We know now that you where demonstrating to us in the
Old Testament to take and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, showing us that in doing so, it would never solve a thing.
Now we see why you said, it was said of old to take an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say unto you, NO, but
to turn the other cheek. (Deuteronomy 19:18-21 / Matthew 5:38-42)
The Bible contains all the evidence that indicates that
the use of great power and wrath against rebellion simply will not work to deter rebellion. It will only turn people into
rebels similar to those who hung our Creator on a cross to kill him.
Zechariah 4:6 says, "Not God's
or man's wrath in might or power will change the minds of God's children... Romans 2:4, Don't you realize that
only the KINDNESS of God will lead humanity toward repentance?"
As I understand it, all heaven and other
worlds understood with the climax of Christ's death on the cross, what it was going to take to solve the rebellion problem.
With God, working very close with the management team, they were able to see it. Now, it's up
to us here on earth to 'get-it' and as soon as that can happen, Christ will come back to take us home.
Our
mission
This is explained in John 17:3,4,6. "Now this is eternal life: that they may know
you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you
gave me to do.... I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world."
Jesus' accomplishment
of His mission seems to be very clear when He states His work is complete after revealing the Father to us. This tells me
the mission of Jesus is ours as well - that of revealing the character of God to others. (The kind of person God is)
Matthew
24:14 also states that the end will come when the good news about God's government is preached in the
whole world. This means the good news about the Governor, and the type of government He governs
with. (This would also reveal the kind of person God is)
Purpose of Sacrifice
Now that you have
been exposed to back stage, 'THE BACK ROOM' - God's management team concept, we need to go back and take
a look at the purpose for Christ sacrifice or why Christ came to die.
Yes, I know Christian religions teach
that Christ came to die in our place to pay the penalty of sin for us so we wouldn't have to.
And all we need to do is believe that that is true and we can claim that we are saved for the New Kingdom.
I don't
want to make 'light' of that, because there are millions of trustworthy people that hold this view, I'm only pointing
out that maybe there is far more to it than that, more than most have thought about before.
Just a couple of
questions to stimulate your thinking: We know the wages of sin is death and if Jesus took our place in death,
then why isn't He still dead? There must be more to it.
We know the
wages of sin is death and
if Jesus took our place in death, then why isn't He still dead? There must be more to it.
We know Jesus, being the
loving ONE, said if we have seen Him, we have seen the Father; then why do Christian religions have Jesus pleading our case
before the Father presenting His blood in our behalf as the ultimate sacrifice for us? Why can't the Father simply forgive?
Why would He have to have a blood sacrifice before He will forgive? There must be more to it.
There's
a story within my book on page 109 that gives a great example of why Christ came to die for us. The story is about a man named
Gaw Hong that gave his life for others.
Satan’s domain
To avoid being misled by most world
religions and their concepts regarding why Christ came to die; we need to realize that we are in Satan's domain where
deception is alive and well. My book is full of exposing examples of these deceptions so we can know the
difference.
For sake of not getting to lengthy, I will give you only one example from my book (Are We Sure We
Know God?) about the purpose of the spilled blood of Christ and how it affects us, reference to being saved for God's
new kingdom.
This comes from chapter 11 on the ATONEMENT. There's an explanation of how the word AT-ONE-MENT has
been changed to mean an appeasement. The change of meaning was made to support
the concept that God the Father needed to be appeased by a blood sacrifice. Of course, this supports Satan's charge that
God is unforgiving and needed to be appeased with a blood sacrifice before He would grant forgiveness.
(Excerpted
from page 136, last paragraph)
"The enemy of God has done his job very well to have most of the world
misconceiving the character and requirements of God. Distorting the meaning of atonement has to be one of the basic
foundations of the greatest fraud of all times. This distorts the character of God in that he needed an appeasement
or a blood sacrifice (like the ancient heathen gods) before He forgives.
Yes, we now have to understand Hebrews 9:22
where it says, "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin" and some of the modern versions say,
"Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." So what do we do with this or what might we be reading
into this? Could we say this is where we need to filter the meaning of the Scriptures entirely through what our
loving God has to be like? Or, will we say the Bible says it, I believe it, that is all there is to it?"
This
is why John 5:39 has come to mean so much to me. (Page 19 in my book) Jesus was speaking to the individuals
that were about to nail Him on the cross. Remember, they were the most religious people of the day, studying the Scripture
like know one else before them. Jesus' words, "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them
you possess eternal life." Jesus goes on to say the Scripture testifies about Him, but the problem is, many a good Bible
student hangs on every word without thinking about the kind of person a loving God would have to be like. Jesus said he was
right there before them, but they refused His ways and kept to their traditions.
Why bring up this text within the subject
of Christ's spilled blood? Because we need to understand that with over 100 different translations of the Bible it only
makes sense that within Satan's domain some words have been twisted in there meaning. And Hebrews 9:22 is a good example.
The
King James Version says, "Without shedding of blood is no remission." We can all relate to the meaning of remission.
If cancer has gone into remission, we know the person possibly still has cancer, but it has stopped growing; it's in remission.
Try this on for size; Unless we humans come to realize we have caused the death of Christ,
that we have driven the nails and the spear in His side when we rebel against the way we have been made to function (God's
ways), we will never back off from our rebellious ways. God knows us inside and out and He knows what it takes to change our
minds. Unless we can see that we are guilty of killing someone we love, we will never back off from sinning, or in other words,
our cancer will never go into remission.
Unless we humans come to realize

death of Christ, that we have driven the nails and the spear in His side when we rebel against the way we have been made to
function (God's ways), we will never back off from our rebellious ways. God knows us inside and out and He knows what
it takes to change our minds. Unless we can see that we are guilty of killing someone we love, we will never back off from
sinning, or in other words, our cancer will never go into remission.
Yes, "Without the shedding of blood there is
no remission (IN US) of sin." Heb. 9:22
You see, this concept says nothing about God
the Father needing any blood sacrifice before He grants forgiveness. The death of Christ was for the purpose of changing our
(God's childrens) mind about the ways of God - We have been made in the image of God to function in a certain way, if
we chose to go outside of the way in which we have been made, we will surely die from the result of cancer. God would spare
us and heal us from the damage the cancer has caused if we are only willing to accept His forgiveness (a forgiveness that
has always been available) and trust that His ways are best.
So why do modern translations (NIV) of the Bible say, "Without
the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness?" As stated before, we are in Satan's domain where Satan is out to
make God the Father as unforgiving, and severe. Think about it; if the Father wouldn't forgive without the shedding of
blood, what would that concept make the Father look like - if not unforgiving?
The cancer we talk about is caused by
going outside the way we have been made to function, something like, if I were to put water in the gas tank of my auto and
gas in the radiator, we all know the engine would surely die.
Satan would draw our attention to our behavior trying
to please God so that He will forgive us for breaking the rules. The reason? Because he knows he can put us in a state of
despair when we find out it's impossible to be perfect on this earth. He also knew if he would substitute the good news
of the gospel into the concept that Christ took our place in perfection before the Father, pleading our case, offering His
spilled blood for our sacrifice to gain forgiveness, that this would appeal to the masses, because all they would have to
do is believe that Christ did that for them and they could legally claim the right to heaven.
It's good to believe
in Jesus, but what we believe happened at the cross, is the big question. Are we
only believing that this mechanical (legal) thing happened to appease the Father's wrath so He will forgive us and let
us into His heaven? Or would it make more sense to understand that Christ's death on the cross was designed to change
you and me, not the Father?
Would it also make more sense to realize that God the Father sent His only Son to reveal
the ways of heaven that we may see the ways of God (how He made us) to be the best way. The reason? That we might be able
to make an intelligent decision and freely choose God's ways without any coercion or force involved. (See John 3: 16 &
19) Verse 19 reveals that Christ came to be a light to us.
The BIG question; What does it make God look like when world
religions teach that our loving God is saying, "You love me and do things my way or I will burn you in Hell for ever
and ever?" What does it make God look like to ask the question, where do you want to spend eternity, in Heaven or Hell?
This might sound like a fair question to some, but it doesn't give any thought to what kind of a God would make a place
of torture if we don't do things His way.
The biggest thing being overlooked within religion is that there doesn't
seem to be any thought given to what kind of God are we believing in. We all say the word God far to loose, assuming everyone
should know who we are taking about.
But when it's said that God will burn me in Hell if I don't choose to love
Him, I must ask, are you sure you would want to spent eternity with that kind of a God? This sounds somewhat like the Bible
story of King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 3) where the king had a furnace heated seven times hotter and threw three men into the
furnace because they would not bow down to him.
Most individuals, when confronted with both that concept and the thought
that God the Father will not forgive without the sacrifice of Christ, say they had never understood it that way. It seems
as though people are not listening to the words being used to describe these issues.
Satan has done his job very well
in having most religions believe a distorted view of the cross. We must remember we are in his domain where he has influenced
what is being taught about God.
The Christian world talks about The Precious Blood Of Christ and how it paid the penalty
for our sin. What we need to be aware of is how Satan will use that concept trying to show God as being unfair
with him.
Satan could say, "The precious blood of Christ was sufficient for you, why not me?"
Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is that Satan didn't choose to believe. But, Satan's come-back is centered
around Genesis 3:15, where God put enmity (hostility) between Satan and us. He could say, "does that sound like God is
being fair; He put hostility in you against evil, why didn't He do that for me?"
Some individual's might
think God created or implanted the hostility in us against evil, but that would have
taken away our choice, something God would never do. The question, of course, is how did
God put the hostility in us against evil?
God, simply gave us the evidence of evil all
around us within this world. Have you seen enough evidence of evil? Do you think there is any chance that things are going
to get better? Or, are you ready to run from the evil of this world and want Gods ways to become your ways?
If you are
at that stage in life, may I warn you about how the EVIL ONE will take everything given to us by our loving God and turn it
into more than anyone can do. How is this done? Usually it will come from the most unlikely place you would expect, the church.
How will it come from them? In short, it comes from some well-meaning people that try to figure out God's will and write
it down in books giving you more rules to go by than anyone with common sense can handle. This is centered around their interpretation
of what it takes to be holy before God, pleasing Him so He can forgive and accept us into His heaven.
(More on this
by clicking on - A Look At Religion In General - Sitemap) Most world religions promote the concept
of us trying to win favor back with God to gain His forgiveness in order to be saved. Some individuals
work very hard toward this result, trying to become perfect, while others have Jesus (His perfection) in their place, winning
God's favor for them. Of course this is where most of the disagreements stem from; one church group thinks they have it
over another because they have it (how it all works and what going to happen in the future) figured out in a different way.
These religions are laboring over a legal understanding of the plan of salvation (why Christ came to die).

This reminds me of a story about a large truck loaded with logs that
got stuck in a tunnel because it wasn't high enough for the load. Several grown men where trying to figure out how to
get the truck free. They had a large tractor (cat) pulling on it and were having trouble, when a 12 year old boy asked one
of them; "Why don't you let the air out of the tires?"
We've had all kinds of grown men and women
(within churches) trying to figure out how to get to heaven. Could the answer to going to heaven really be that simple? So
simple, we are passing over it?
We wouldn't want to miss the wisdom that can come from our children. Once a family
was into their regular evening Bible study and the subject was about Jesus working in our behalf before God the Father, when
an 8 year old girl asked her daddy, "Doesn't God love us as much as Jesus does?"
A simple question; how
would you answer it? Especially, when most of the Christian world teaches that Jesus is pleading our case before the Father
in order to get us into heaven. The plan of salvation now taught is centered around gaining forgiveness from God that He would
allow us into His heaven.
Could the way to heaven really be as simple as Acts 16:31 states? "Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Of course we need to ask; What does it mean to believe? The original historical
"Greek" word is "PISTIS" which is defined to mean faith, belief, confidence, and trust. To achieve the
original purpose of the word in our modern times, it would be better to always use the word TRUST, as in a "deed of trust."
Of
course trusting in the ways of God is everything. It means you like what you see, you
become like the one you trust,
similar to, "you become what you eat." This is why we must understand what kind of a God we are trusting in. Knowing
the true God is everything. To simply say you believe in God is far to open-ended, because there are far more gods out there
than anyone can keep up with. Satan has provided a bountiful supply of gods that can lead you down more ridiculous paths of
belief systems than you can imagine. Anything from rolling on the floor, barking like a dog, laughing like an idiot, beating
your women if they don't obey, to flying a loaded aircraft into tall buildings - all in the name of GOD.
This is
why I have a big problem with the concept of a GOD needing a blood sacrifice before he will forgive. There must be more to
the story than what is being told or understood.
The God I have came to know and trust is a God that has certain character
traits. And all these traits can be found in studying the life of Jesus which there are several stories found in chapter 2
of my book. "Are We Sure We Know God?"
Most world religions have their theology
centered around different methods of gaining forgiveness so they can be accepted into heaven. But, have you ever thought about
God's forgiveness as always being there? Jesus is not doing anything to get the Father to forgive us, because God the
Father loves us the same as Jesus does. We say that God is love; how about understanding that God is also forgiveness the
same as He is love? Does it make sense to say it's simply up to us to accept the forgiveness that has always been there?
Now
for even a larger, stunning thought. Instead of us gaining Gods favor in some way in order to be saved; How about
the thought that God is trying to win favor back with us to trust His ways, for God will save (and heal) ALL that trust Him.
(Act:16:31)
. Instead of us gaining Gods favor in some way in order to be saved;
How about the thought
that God is trying to win favor back with us to trust His ways, for God will save (and heal) ALL that trust Him.
(Act:16:31)
Our God being the kind of God he is, prefers that each one of us consider Him as our friend and helper, (John
15:15) not a dictator, where it's said, "Do as I say, or I will..." A servant does what he is told without question,
but God wants us to understand His ways, He wants our intelligent service.
With the concept of doing right because
we have found it to be the right and the most intelligent way to live, there really doesn't have to be a motive of a 'pie
in the sky' so to speak. (Christ coming back) Doing what a person knows to be right should be enough to build our self-worth
and add to our well being. I surely believe that God has a plan beyond our wildest dreams for those of us that have come to
trust and like His ways. But in learning about the kind of God I have come to trust, it really doesn't make any difference
if God is coming back tomorrow or 1000 years from now. I have simply come to the conclusion that the ways of my God are for
our true happiness and well-being and I would be a fool not to take advantage of His way of life. Even if there was no hope
of God coming back to take us home, it would still be the best way to live a happy life.
Religions often argue over
the different concepts of how the death of Christ affects our assurance for being saved. One side argues that we don't
have to become perfect in order to be saved, because Christ is perfection for us. The other side says people have become far
to liberal and loose in their behavior, that they must get back to the old landmarks and work on their behavior or they are
going to be lost. - And on and on we could go.
These arguments are over legal issues for breaking God's laws, which
make the main concern, breaking the rules (our behavior). Instead, the main concern should be in knowing the true God and
trusting His ways. The whole purpose of Christ coming to earth was to reveal the character of God to us. He came to earth
as Heaven's ambassador to reveal God's ways to us. The reason? That we may see His ways, as opposed to Satan's
ways. This should, more than give us a reason to want God's ways in our life instead of Satan's ways. Especially when
we discover the results the rebellion has caused, which, all one needs to do, is look around to see evil springing up in abundance.
Understand that we have been made in God's image to function within the same perimeters or boundaries. If we choose
to go outside of the way we have been made, God said we would surely die. Not because we broke the rules within the law, (a
legal problem) but because we will receive the results of breaking the rules; that of drinking the poison that would kill
us. God did not create us with the ability to drink poison, he said it would
kill us.
This is another reason why gaining forgiveness from God for breaking the rules would not save us from the
poison. If Jesus drank the poison for us, we would both die. This simply makes no sense. But for God to heal
heal us from the damage the poison caused, I can buy that one, because I understand
God is the Master Physician that can heal us from the damage done.
In Heaven, would you want to live next door to a
forgiven killer or would you want to know the killer had been healed with a new heart transplant and a right spirit put within
him?
If we could quit worrying about our behavior before God and get our attention on the kind of God we have, we might
narrow down the number of gods out there. And, by the way, your behavior would more than likely be changed into the ONE you
most worship and admire; so be careful what kind of GOD you choose to follow. He might have you barking like a dog! I suggest
you look for a God of common sense that will only put you though changes in your life that really need to be done for your
happiness and well being.
So what's it going to be? Satan's way or the ways of the true God of heaven? If you
don't choose one or the other, do I have to tell you what side you have chosen? What will happen to you if you don't
choose God's way? I thought you would never ask. You will not be tortured with the burning flames of Hell for ever and
ever or not even as long as you deserve. Romans 1:24,26,28 says God, with tears streaming down His face, will leave
you to your own rebellious choice.
Meaning, there is no healing available for you, you are simply left on your own
within a cancer filled environment that will kill you, just as God said it would. If you go outside of the way you were made
to function, you will surely die. Your lights will go out - that's all there is folks - there is no such place as Hell
as describe by some. What would it make a loving God look like if He had created a place of torture for those that refused
His ways?
And don’t tell me that kind of treatment would be justice. If that were true, God would be making Hitler
look good, because his victims died quick. If you believe that, be careful, your god will have you barking like a dog, or
maybe he will convince you to kill yourself to speed up your trip to heaven where there are many virgins waiting to take care
of your needs.
I hope you don't take these statements as being too crude, I'm only pointing out the reality
of what some people really believe, all in the name of their GOD.
"So where do I go from here?" you ask?
A good question, because I don't know of any church that is teaching this message or concept of God. So my suggestion
is to take what you have learned (Why Christ came to die) back to your church or group and simply ask them to consider taking
a look at a most AWESOME VIEW OF GOD - found in "Are We Sure We Know God?"
